My band and I provided music for Spur Cross Cowboy Church's Old Fashioned Christmas on 12/23/11. We were joined by Jeff Wright on the drums. I also had the honor of directing the choir. Karmann and Kompany won the Best Band competition at the Mayer Daze Parade on 5/14/2011. We were surprised and pleased. Karmann and Kompany consists of my self on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Joe Brokaw on 5-string bass and Don Hootman on lead guitar. He was playing electric. I asked him to switch to acoustic - and it sounded much better. Don hasn't been playing with us very long and it getting a bunch of stuff thrown at him all at once. He's handling the stress well. Stan Powell is our sound man and he balances everything out and makes us sound great!

After being booted from it's regular meeting place and wandering through the deserts of New River for a while (actually met for several weeks at Embrace Ranch - thank you Jack and Aneta!!), Spur Cross Cowboy Church is back at Pioneer Living History Museum at I-17 and Pioneer Road, in far north Phoenix. PLEASE NOTE: As of October 3rd, start time for Spur Cross Cowboy Church will be 9:30 am. October 9th will mark the grand re-opening of Pioneer Living History Museum. The song, "My God", co-written with Lynn Goveia, won Honorable Mention in the 2006 Great American Song Contest. "My God" is on the first CD, Fruit of the Spirit. The song "Daddy-O" was chosen by You Matter Ministries as their web site's theme song. It was also featured on gospelgrass.com and is on Gospel Grass's 2009 complication CD.
